The chief coach of the super eagles have come out to heap praises on his boys after they secured qualification to CHAN 2014 to be held next year in south africa..
"This was very important for us because we've never qualified before and I'm just happy for the players, my thoughts are for them because they worked so hard and we pushed them so hard. And I wanted to see them there."
The Ivorians raced into a two-goal lead within the opening 20 minutes, and Keshi admitted that his boys were slow off the blocks. "We were a little bit shaky, it took about 25 minutes for them to stabilize and play our game.
But I didn't have any doubts. I knew if my boys could be calm and concentrate, we would score a goal.
"We were playing a very strong, very good Ivorian team. But we had to concentrate very hard so that we can carry the day.
"We came in he to qualify and it was a good game. Very entertaining game, good quality from both sides and I'm glad that my players can now get this experience and it will help us in our national team.
"And it will also be a good platform for them to join the national team for the World Cup," he added.
